Terms of Service
Effective date: July 15, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ReachUp ("Service"), operated by ReachUp ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use ReachUp.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use ReachUp. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement. We reserve the right to terminate accounts found to be held by minors.
2. Account Registration
To access most features you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Keep your password confidential and not share access with others
- Notify us promptly at naveenyohannan.in@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
- Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.
3. The Service
ReachUp provides AI-powered career tools, including:
- Job search and personalized match scoring
- AI analysis of job postings against your profile
- Résumé tailoring and cover letter generation
- Application tracking and skill-gap identification
3.1 AI-Generated Content
Content generated by ReachUp's AI features (match scores, résumé bullets, cover letters, job analyses) is provided for informational and productivity purposes only. We do not guarantee that AI-generated content is accurate, complete, or suitable for any specific employer or role. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and deciding whether to use AI-generated content before submitting it to any third party.
3.2 Job Data
ReachUp surfaces job listings from third-party sources (such as public job boards and APIs). We do not control the accuracy, availability, or hiring practices of any employer. Applying to a job through or alongside ReachUp creates no relationship between you and ReachUp regarding that employer.
3.3 Service Availability
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the Service as a whole, with reasonable notice where practicable.
4. User Content
4.1 Your Data
You retain ownership of the career information, résumés, and other content you submit to ReachUp ("User Content"). By submitting User Content you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process and store that content solely to provide the Service to you.
4.2 Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload content that is false, defamatory, or violates any third party's intellectual property or privacy rights
- Use ReachUp to send spam, unsolicited communications, or to scrape employer or job data at scale
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract our AI models, prompts, or proprietary algorithms
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law or regulation
- Share your account credentials or resell access to the Service
We reserve the right to remove User Content and/or suspend accounts that violate these terms.
5. Subscription and Billing
5.1 Free and Paid Plans
ReachUp may offer a free tier and one or more paid subscription plans. Paid plan features and pricing are described on the pricing page and may change with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.
5.2 Payment
Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. By subscribing you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on the billing cycle you select (monthly or as otherwise stated). All amounts are in US dollars unless otherwise indicated.
5.3 Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access to paid features until then. We do not provide pro-rated refunds for unused portions of a billing period, except where required by applicable law.
5.4 Failed Payments
If a payment fails, we will attempt to re-charge and notify you by email. Accounts with persistent payment failures may be downgraded to the free tier.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Our Property
All software, design, brand assets, and non-User Content on ReachUp — including the ReachUp name, logo, and AI features — are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of our IP to you.
6.2 Feedback
If you share feedback, suggestions, or ideas about ReachUp, you grant us an irrevocable, royalty-free license to use that feedback without obligation to you.
7. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
8. Third-Party Services
ReachUp integrates with third-party services (including Stripe, Supabase, Vercel, and Anthropic). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- AI-generated content will be accurate, suitable, or free from bias
- Using ReachUp will result in job offers, interviews, or employment outcomes
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL REACHUP BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES — ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) $50 USD.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ReachUp and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your User Content; or (c) your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
12. Termination
12.1 By You
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings or by emailing naveenyohannan.in@gmail.com. Deletion permanently removes your profile and application data within 30 days.
12.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we are required to do so by law. Where practicable, we will notify you before termination and give you an opportunity to export your data.
12.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends. Sections 6, 9, 10, 11, and 14 survive termination.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms that cannot be resolved informally will be submitted to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in English, with proceedings in California. You waive the right to participate in a class action or class-wide arbitration. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in court for IP or confidentiality violations.
14. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and ReachUp regarding the Service.
- Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
- No Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
- Assignment: We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. You may not assign your account or rights without our written consent.
- Notices: We will send notices to the email address on your account. Legal notices to us should be sent to naveenyohannan.in@gmail.com.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, by email. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
